I am an evolutionary ecologist. My research aims to understand the ways in cooperative dynamics in complex communities scale up to affect key host traits, life history processes, niche breadth, and fitness.
I pursue these goals using a wide variety of tools including field work, high-throughput experimental systems, quantitative genetics, and bioinformatic tools. I work in many systems to advance these goals including host-microbiome interactions in duckweeds (Lemna) and green algae (Chlamydomonas) as well as terrestrial flowering plants (Turnera) and marine chemosymbiotic bivalves (Thyasira).

I am currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Centre for Ecosystem Management in Dr. Joey Bernhardt's lab at the University of Guelph. I earned my PhD under the supervision of Dr. Megan Frederickson at the University of Toronto.
